PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an over discharged state of a cell set caused by a load of a remaining capacity display device itself. SOLUTION: This remaining capacity display device for the cell set 1 is provided with a current detecting means 2 generating an output indicating the magnitude and direction of a current flowing in and out of the cell set 1, amplifying means 10 and 20 amplifying the output of the current detecting means 2, a control means 50 calculating a remaining capacity of the cell set 1 on the basis of the output of the amplifying means 10 and 20, and a remaining capacity displaying means 60 displaying the remaining capacity of the cell set 1 on the basis of the output of the control means 50. This device uses n power supply voltage of the cell set 1 as a power supply voltage of the amplifying means 10 and 20, the control means 50, and the remaining capacity displaying means 60. When the power supply voltage of the cell set 1 declines to a first predetermined value or lover, the power supply voltage of the cell set 1 is not fed to the amplifying means 10 and 20, the control means 50, and the remaining capacity displaying means 60.
