RUBBER-MODIFIED STYRENE RESIN, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND SHEET OF THE RESIN

A rubber-modified styrene resin containing a rubbery polymer as dispersed particles, wherein the continuous phase has a weight-average molecular weight (MwL) of 180,000 to 280,000 and the weight-average molecular weight and the 1-cm drawdown time (sec) for a rubber-modified styrene resin sheet satisfy the relationship [1-cm drawdown time (sec)] > (MwL/10<4>) - 4.0; an effective process for producing the resin; and a rubber-modified styrene resin sheet obtained by forming the resin. The rubber-modified styrene resin has so high thermoforming stability that a sufficiently long time for thermoforming can be ensured. It is suitable for use in forming into a sheet. The rubber-modified styrene resin sheet has excellent thermoforming stability.
