<p>The present invention relates to a method and network element for establishing a call between end terminals of a telecommunication system, wherein a first type of connection is established and monitored by a network function to which the first type of connection is routed in order to detect a signal of a second type of connection in a signal flow of the first type of connection. Based on the detection result of the network function, a call modification procedure to the second type of connection is initiated. Thereby, a call which is established by starting with a first type of connection and swapping to a second type of connection can be provided in a network without establishing a control signal detection functionality in the end terminals of the network.</p> |
