PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection apparatus using nuclear magnetic resonance suited for imaging a region including the heart. SOLUTION: When a region including the heart is imaged in a specific cardiographic time phase, the distribution of static magnetic field strength is obtained in each cardiographic time phase (101, 102, 103) and a shim current value in each cardiographic time phase is calculated on the basis of the distribution of static magnetic field strength (104, 105, 106). Prior to the imaging in the specific cardiograpltic time phase of the region including the heart, the shim current in each cardiographic time phase is passed through a correcting coil (107, 109, 111), after which imaging is effected (108, 110, 112). High-quality images can thus be obtained.
