PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new richly decorated still life type or animal type cigarette ashtray equipped with an ignition means and an extinguishing means. SOLUTION: This cigarette ashtray has a specific fashionable still life type or animal type appearance such as a character-like type appearance and can be used as a decorative interior in a room or a car. The mechanical characteristics of the cigarette ashtray comprises disposing an electric ignition means in the front center of the ashtray, disposing a manually or mechanically openable or closable lid on the ashtray, and extinguishing the embers of a cigarette ignited with the ignition means and smoked by the use of a highly heat-absorbing fire-extinguishing pot detachably disposed in a cigarette butt- receiving chamber. The cigarette butt is not discarded, but is received in the chamber and kept in a closed state. Thus, the cigarette butt, cigarette ash and so on are unreasonably scattered.
