PURPOSE:To simplify the operation of connecting a plug contact pin with the terminal part of a flexible printed circuit board (FPC) by pinching the FPC terminal part by a socket member and a plug member lateral edge, and inserting the longitudinal edge of the plug member into the socket member. CONSTITUTION:A socket member 20 has internally a socket contact pin 25 and is mounted on a printed circuit board, and a plug member 30 has a section in T form or upset L form and is equipped with a plug contact pin 35 alongside the undersurface of its lateral edge 32 and the side face of the longitudinal edge. When the longitudinal edge 31 of the plug member 30 is inserted into the socket member 20, the terminal part 8a of flexible printed circuit board 8 is pinched by the lateral edge 32 of the socket member 20 and pressure contact with the pin 35 can be generated, and also the longitudinal edge 31 of the plug contact pin 35 is put in pressure contact with the socket contact pin 25. Accordingly the operation of connecting the plug contact pin 35 with the terminal part 8a does not require any troublesome works such as soldering and can be done very simply and easily. |
