PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a contact from dirt. SOLUTION: The first connector 4 installed on a hatch comprises a housing 11 and a stationary contact 12. Inside a housing connector 31 of the second connector 5 installed on a body is disposed a movable contact 36 in such way it can move backward and it is given forward momentum by a compressed coil spring 41. On an opening 32 of the housing 31 is disposed a protection member 42 made of synthetic resin in such way that it can move backward and it is given forward momentum by a compressed coil spring 47. The front end surface of the movable contact 36 is positioned at the rear of the front end surface of the protection member 42. When a hatch is closed, a frame section 15 of the housing 11 pressurizes the protection member 42, thereby the protection member 42 moves backward, the front part of a cylindrical section 36a of the movable contact 36 is exposed from an insertion hole 44 of the protection member 42 and contacts the stationary contact 12.
