PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the durability of a belt transmission having a flat belt with recesses for reducing the rigidity of the belt provided in one surface at prescribed pitches in the belt length direction. SOLUTION: This belt transmission is provided with a plurality of pulleys including a drive pulley 5 and a resin flat belt 1 wound around a plurality of pulleys having a tension resistant element embedded in the length direction, and having recesses 4 for reducing the rigidity of the belt in one surface at prescribed pitches in the belt length direction; and the flat belt is wound around the drive pulley 5 with a surface having the recesses 4 faced to the outside. |
