PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavating device mounted on a traveling truck capable of mounting an earthauger longer than a regulated traveling truck and more freely designing the fixed arrangement of the earthauger and further, carrying out an excavating work even in a narrow site where the rotary movement of the boom is restricted. SOLUTION: One end of the fitting member of an earthauger is attached to the forefront end of an extensible boom to be rotatable in 360 degrees. The rotary axis of the fitting member is made coaxial with or parallel to the longitudinal direction of the boom, and the earthauger is rockably attached to the other end of the fitting member. The excavating device is mounted on a traveling truck having such a length as troubles do not arise in the fitting member even if the earthauger and the boom are bent parallelly to each other.
