PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder capable of preventing a non-sending and a damage of a sheet. SOLUTION: A sheet feeder 1 is provided with a bottom plate 5 for loading a record sheet P, a width-restriction member 19, an upper limit-restriction member 29 for restricting the loading sheet number of the record sheet P loaded on the bottom plate 5, a sheet feed roller 7 for feeding the record sheet P inserted between the bottom plate 5 and the upper limit restriction member 29, and a stopper member 31 for inhibiting an invasion of excess record sheet P. The stopper member 31 is provided with a base portion 31a having an elasticity and a projection portion 33 having a stopper surface 33a which is downwardly projected from one end of the base portion 31a and to which a tip end of the excess record sheet P is abutted.
