PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To define a mechanism for automatically synchronizing script variables in the extended function of an action tag. SOLUTION: A TagExtraInfo class describing an action is added to each action. The TagExtraInfo class knows the attribute of the class including the name of script variables introduced or changed by the action. Then, a tag handler performs access to the information from the TagExtraInfo class corresponding to each tag in the page in a converting time. A pageContext object is formed so that the mapping of the script variables corresponding to the value can be included in a run time. Those values are explicit to a script code, and those values can be changed by the script code. Thus, it is possible to form an action tag without any explicit knowledge related with script language to be used for the formation of the page.
