PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a magnetic levitation device which can control the magnetic levitation device to be in an optimum levitation state, even if a cable is removed when a electric power supply is off. SOLUTION: A monitoring circuit 8 of a control unit 2 detects that a cable 3 between a pump body 1 and a control unit 2 is removed, and stores the detection result by an on/off state of the monitoring circuit 8. When electric power supply is on and the monitoring circuit 8 is off, an alarm is generated from an alarming device 16 for promoting tuning to activate an interlock circuit 17. An operator easily finds it necessary to carry out tuning. When a start switch SW2 is operated to be on by mistake, the interlock circuit 17 prohibits a motor driver 12 from driving a motor 6.
