SELF-STANDING CHAIR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-standing chair for aiding a user to stand by oneself by moving a seat up and down when the user is trying to stand up from a seated position. SOLUTION: A self-standing chair which has a seat 1 and a back rest 2 is provided with an electric up-and-down movement mechanism 31 at the seat 1 for moving a seat rear portion 12 up and down so that the seat rear portion 12 can be moved up and down with a seat front portion 11 as a supporting point by the electric up-and-down movement mechanism 31 for aiding a user to stand by oneself.
