PURPOSE: A process for preparing the title fiber by synthesizing a polyetherester block copolymer and melt spinning is provided, which produces polyetherester elastic fiber having excellent heat resistance during dyeing and processing processes as well as excellent elastic recovery properties. CONSTITUTION: This polyetherester elastic fiber is prepared by using 20 to 40 parts by weight of 2,6-naphthalenecarboxylate as an acidic component of a hard segment component and a polyetherester block copolymer comprising polyoxyalkyleneglycol as a soft segment. The polyetherester block copolymer satisfies the following formula (1) 1.7 ≤IV≤2.2, (2) Tm≧190deg.C, and (3) 2≤Mw/Mn≤4, wherein IV represents intrinsic viscosity, Tm is a melting point, Mw is a weight average molecular weight, and Mn is a number average molecular weight.
