PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing links between BTS(Base Transceiver Station) and BSC(Base Station Controllers) is provided to conduct highly precise diagnosis on a GCIN(Global CDMA Interconnection Network) link by sectionalizing the link. CONSTITUTION: The GCIN(30,40) has an HRNA(High-Capacity Node and HDSL Assembly,32,42) for routing data between internal systems by a plurality of nodes. An HICA(High-Capacity IPC Control Board Assembly,31,41) manages the HRNA. A control chip(33a,43a) matches a RS-232C part with an E1/T1 communication part among the HRNAs. An HLEA(High-Capacity IPC Line Interface E1 Assembly,33) accommodates the control chip. Diagnosis on the GCIN link by the HICA is conducted in four levels consisting of Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Level All. Level 1 is a self test for checking a node immediately before the link. Level 2 is a local loop-back test for checking loop-back data from the control chip. Level 3 is a polling test for checking packet data by comparing the packet data with a transmission packet. In Level All, all of Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 are conducted.
