PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical writing device capable of surely suppressing the vibration of a return mirror with a simple structure. SOLUTION: As for the optical writing device with a light source for emitting a light beam 2 modulated in accordance with a recording signal, a polygon mirror 1 for deflecting the light beam 2 and scanning with the beam in a sub- scanning direction, and a 2nd reflection mirror 6 for reflecting the light beam 2 deflected by the polygon mirror 1 to a photoreceptor 8, both ends of the 2nd reflection mirror 6 are positioned and fixed at a prescribed angle by mirror pressing parts 9 and mirror abutting parts 10, the rear side between both ends of the 2nd reflection mirror 6 is adhered to an adhesion base 12 with adhesive agent 13, and the normal direction of the mirror 6 is fixed.
