PURPOSE: An automatic on/off method for antenna diversity of digital enhanced cordless telecommunications is provided, in which the diversity function of the antenna is prevented from being performed when the antenna has any problem, to thereby prevent performance deterioration of the system caused by the diversity function of the antenna. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the first step(ST11-ST20) of changing the signal of an antenna switch with a predetermined time interval and judging whether an antenna has any problem; the second step(ST21-ST23) of performing a normal diversity function of the antenna when the antenna has no problem; and the third step(ST24-ST31) of turning off the diversity function of the antenna when there is any problem in the antenna. The first step judges whether there exists any problem in the antenna by comparing the power level of the received signal and the reference signal. |
