PURPOSE: A circuit for preventing continuous communication of an ignition element is provided to avoid continuous communication by automatically turning off a driving signal of an input terminal of an ignition element after a predetermined time. CONSTITUTION: A continuous communication prevention circuit comprises: a microcomputer(10) controlling ignition time by outputting an ignition signal corresponding to the operation conditions of a vehicle; a timer IC(Integrated Circuit)(15) outputting ignition signals for a predetermined time with response to the detection of the ignition signals of the microcomputer at a trigger terminal via an inverter(12); a drive unit(20) controlling a signal level by turning on/off a transistor(Q1) corresponding to the ignition signals; and an ignition element(25) inducing a high voltage by isolating a primary current of an ignition coil in accordance with the output signal level of the drive unit. After a predetermined time, the transistor is driven to automatically turn off an input terminal(Vin) of the ignition element and block up continuous communication. Therefore, damage of the ignition element due to continuous communication is prevented and an ECU(Electrical Control Unit) and the ignition coil are protected. Moreover, stability of a vehicle ignition system is enhanced.
