PURPOSE: To provide a skin-beautifying agent which has actions for improving the moisture and firmness of the skin and for preventing and improving the roughness and fine wrinkles of the skin, when orally taken. CONSTITUTION: The skin-beautifying agent contains N-acetyl glucosamine as an active ingredient. The form of the agent is preferably tablets, capsules, powder, granules or liquids. The beautiful skin-stimulating agent may be added to foods such as confections, powdered soups or drinks. When the beautiful skin-stimulating agent is orally administered, the N-acetylglucosamine is quickly absorbed and partially used as a raw material for acidic mucopolysaccharides such as hyaluronic acid or chondroitin sulfuric acid. Thereby, the moisture and firmness of the skin can be improved, and the roughness, fine wrinkles, and so on, of the skin can be prevented and improved.
