PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a hub-in motor which is housed inside the diameter side of a hub supporting a tire adaptive to a small-diameter wheel and suitable for size reduction, and, at the same time, to improve the easiness in assembling and maintenance property of the motor by making the structure of the motor simple. SOLUTION: A hub-in motor which is housed inside the diameter side of a hub supporting a tire is provided with a cylindrical field core held on the center axis of rotation of the tire by deviating the core to one side in the widthwise direction of the plane of rotation of the tire passing the center of the tire or its vicinity in the widthwise direction of the tire, a front lid and a rear lid which are respectively fixed to the nondeviated- and deviated- side end faces of the field core, and a rotor which is freely rotatably held on the front and rear lids on the inside diameter side of the field core and rotates around the center axis of rotation of the tire. The motor is also provided with a hub which is freely rotatably supported on the outer peripheral surface of the field core and has an opening on its front lid side, a speed reducer holding plate which holds a speed reducer which reduces the rotational speed of the rotor fixed to the front lid and transmits the reduced speed to the hub, and an outer lid which is rotatably supported on the speed reducer holding plate and the outer periphery of which is fixed to the margin of the opening of the hub.
