PURPOSE: A stereo video display system is provided to produce a large-sized screen using a projection optical system to eliminate inconvenience of wearing polarization glasses. CONSTITUTION: A stereo video display system includes an LCD panel(310) for displaying images, a backlight(320), a projection lens(330), a fresnel lens screen(340), two cameras(351,352), and a control circuit(360). The backlight emits white light toward the LCD panel. The projection lens extends and projects an image of the LCD panel. The fresnel lens screen displays the image that has passed through the projection lens and forms exit pupil on user's eye. The two cameras capture the motion of the user's head. The control circuit accepts information about the position of the user's head from the two cameras to control a stop position of the projection lens so as to allow left and right images to correspond to left and right eyes of the user.
