PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly lock an air belt itself to a through anchor and directly rewound around a retractor. SOLUTION: This belt 12 of an air belt 10 is provided with a narrow-width single-layer part 12a composed of a belt, multi-layer part 12c formed into a flat hollow cylinder, and an intermediate part 12b. The width gradually becomes smaller from the multi-layer part 12c toward a single layer part 12a. A bag 11 is arranged only in the multi-layer part 12c. The tip side of the bag 11 is connected to a tongue 5 along with the tip side of the belt 12. The single layer part 12a is inserted into a through anchor 6 and connected to a retractor 7 so as to be rewound or drawn out freely. The belt 12 is so manufactured that all the parts from the single layer part 12a to the intermediate part 12b and the multi-layer part 12c are continuously and integrally braided or woven. |
