PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool Joule's heat generated from a diode and terminal of an AC generator and the lead section of the diode. SOLUTION: In an AC generator for vehicle, a diode 109 is covered with a satisfactory heat conductor 116, with one surface coming into contact with a cooling water channel 114, and the opposite surface comes into contact with a bracket 104 via the conductor 116. In addition, the generator is provided with a cooling accelerating section 119, which is arranged close to a surface 200 constituting the end section of a rotor core 300 in the axial direction and has a thickness, which is thicker than that of the wound thickness of a field winding 107. In addition, the generator uses copper or a copper alloy for a terminal 121.
