Fault diagnosis circuit for a bridge circuit

Through pull-up/pull-down (P+,P-) leads the fault diagnosis system (1) closes and opens the bridge switching elements (Q1-Q4). In the pull-up mode a fault diagnosis voltage is applied through a resistance (R+) and in the pull-down mode earth potential through a resistance (R-). Depending on the particular combination of open and closed switching elements a change in the monitoring potential results.
