摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having a peripheral tread with a high tractive force by forming the tread from a sulfur-vulcanizable rubber composition containing at least three resins different in softening point range. SOLUTION: The peripheral tread of a pneumatic tire is formed from a sulfur-vulcanizable rubber composition which contains three basic resins each having a softening point of about 20 to 170 deg.C and each in an amount of about 2 phr or higher, the sum of these three resins being about 6 to 30 phr. The three resins have different softening points. The softening point of the first resin is about 20 to 110 deg.C; that of the second resin is higher than that of the first by at least 30 deg.C; and that of the third resin is higher than that of the second by at least 30 deg.C and is about 100 to 170 deg.C. The three basic resins are selected from among coumarone-indene resins, alkylated hydrocarbon resins, and dicyclopentadiene/diene resins; and the first and second resins are selected from the same kind of resins and the third, from the other kind of resins.
