PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a consuming current detecting device to detect a consuming current from a battery at a low cost with accuracy. SOLUTION: A consuming current detecting device is provided with a current sensor 2b which detects a consuming current from a battery 2, a consuming current computing means 22 which computes the consuming current from the battery 2 for a starter 3 that starts an internal combustion engine 1, and a consuming current selecting means 21 which selects the detected value from the sensor 2b as the consuming current from the battery 2 when the starter 3 is not actuated or selects the computed value of the computing means 22 when the starter 3 is actuated.
