ERROR CONCEALMENT CONTROL METHOD, CODER AND IMAGE SIGNAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid deterioration in the image quality of a decoded reproduced image at a receiver side with respect to an error concealment control method, a coder and an image signal transmission system. SOLUTION: A decoder at a receiver side includes an error control section 24 that conducts error concealment control to conceal an error and an error information transmission section 26 that transmits error information. A coder at a transmitter side has a configuration that includes a memory 7 that stores coding information by a coding section 1 and prediction information by a 1st transmitter side prediction section 4 and an error correction section 8 that discriminates whether or not the error gives a much effect onto prediction coding a present point of time on the basis of the error information received by an error information reception section 6, controls a 2nd transmitter side prediction section 9 when the error gives much effect to reconfigure a reproduced image subjected to error concealment control at a point of time of the error occurrence and reconfigures the reproduced image at the preset point of time by using the prediction information stored in the memory 7.
