PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent an ink jet recording soln. from getting mildewed without making it more poisonous and without degrading its performance. SOLUTION: This ink jet recording soln. comprises at least a colorant, an antifungicide and water, wherein the antifungicide has a water-soluble or water- dispersible food preservative contg. at least one type selected from the group consisting of extracts of forsythia, fig leaves, licorice oil, clove, beefsteak plant, cinnamon, sage, ginger, raw bean, garlic, red koji, pepper, rosemary, peppermint, eucalyptus, parsley seeds, thyme, laurel and onion as well as kojic acid, etc. |
