PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material having excellent color reproducibility, more particularly color reproducibility of green and red by using a photographic lipophilic dispersion which contains specific compounds and has an oil phase refractive index of a specific range. SOLUTION: This dispersion contains the compounds expressed by formula I: RaOOC(CH2)mCOORb, formula II: C(Rg)(Rh)(Ri)OH, formula III: R1OOC-R2-COO(- R3-OOC-R2-COO)sR4, formula IV: R5-O-R6-(OOC-R7-COO-R6-)sOR8, etc., and the oil phase refractive index thereof is 1.48 to 1.58. In the formulas, Ra and Rb benote 4-10C straight chain or branched alkyl groups and m denotes an integer from 2 to 10. Rg denotes an alkyl group, alkenyl group and Rh and Ri denote hydrogen atoms or the group expressed by Rg. R1 and R4 denote alkyl groups, alkenyl groups, etc.,; R2, R3, R6, R7 denote alkylene groups, alkenylene groups, etc.,; R5 and R8 denote acyl groups, phosponyl groups and s denotes a positive number from 1 to 20.
