PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a strength corresponding to an addition of a blending material irrespective of using a pulp fiber which does not have good affinity or adhesive properties to a powder stock as a reinforcing fiber. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a ceramic building material comprises the step of scattering a colloidal silica on a surface of an uncured product shaped from a mixture obtained by mixing a cement blending material containing a cement, a silica, an aggregate, the reinforcing fiber and the like with a water of a necessary amount.
