PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely mount a sealing member to a predetermined place of a housing and to prevent dust or the like from adhering to a sealing surface in a connector having a butt sealing structure. SOLUTION: The sealing member 13 is mounted to an end face S1 of a push-in jig 31 through a peeling film 21, and the push-in jig 31 is inserted into a fitting recessed part 12a of the housing 12 to mount the sealing member 13 to a bottom face S2. Thereafter, the push-in jig 31 is removed from the fitting recessed part 12a with the sealing member 13 and the peeling film 21 left in the housing 12.
