摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulley capable of effectively restricting not only the generation of abrasion at an element side but also the generation of abrasion at a frictional contact surface of a variable pulley of a continuously variable transmission. SOLUTION: A variable pulley formed by arranging two conical disks 11, 12 opposite to each other and capable of changing groove width of a V-shaped groove is provided in an input shaft O1 side and an output shaft O2 side of the offset arrangement. A transmission belt is pinched between the V-shaped grooves of the variable pulleys so as to warp the transmission belt between the variable pulleys of the input and the outputs shafts O1, O2 sides. In a belt type continuously variable transmission with such structure, shot peening is performed to the pinching surfaces 11f, 12f of the conical disks 11, 12 in an area X of the Low-side change gear ratio.
