PURPOSE:To enable a driven member coupled to a cam follower to move with high accuracy and at high speed by confronting a cam of a fixed shape and a cam of an opposite shape thereto and bringing a cam follower connected to an elastic substance into contact with the respective cams. CONSTITUTION:A work 12 is fixed to a chuck 11 and cut by a cutting tool 13. The first cam 16 having a cam surface 15 is disposed on the outer periphery of the chuck 11 and is rotated by a motor 19. The second cam 21 having a cam surface 20 of an opposite shape is confronted to the first cam and is rotated by a servo-motor 25. The first and second cam followers 26, 27 are brought into contact with the first and second cam surfaces 15, 20, and these cam followers are rotatably coupled to the driven members 28, 29 reciprocated by rotation of the cams 16, 21 through a pin 30. A spring 32 is disposed in such a manner that when the cam followers 26, 27 contact the cams 16, 21, fixed contact pressure is applied therebetween. |
