PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a malfunction caused by noises generated by an electrodeless discharge lamp and an induction coil, without worsening the output light. SOLUTION: An induction coil 2 is composed of a coil part 2a proximately arranged along an outer circumferential face of an electrodeless discharge lamp fixed to a case 3, and a lead wire 2b led out from the coil part 2a and having its tip part inserted into the case 3. One end of a coaxial cable 13 is inserted into the case 3 to be connected electrically to the lead wire 2b inside the case 3, and a high-frequency electric power is supplied to the induction coil 2 from a high-frequency electric power source circuit provided outside via the coaxial cable 13. The lead wire 2b and the coaxial cable 13 are arranged to make the distance L2 between an insertion portion inserted with the coaxial cable 13 into the case 3 and an insertion portion inserted with the lead wire 2b into the case 3 longer than the shortest distance L1 between the insertion portion inserted with the coaxial cable 13 into the case 3 and a center axis of the coil part 2a.
