PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure high sensitivity and durability in the infrared region and to supply a stable image by using a gallium phthalocyanine compound as an electric charge generating material and an electric charge transferring compound having a specified structure as an electric charge transferring materiel. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer containing at least one gallium phthalocyanine compound as an electric charge generating material and at least one compound of formula I as an electric charge transferring material. In the formula, Ar1 is aryl which may have a substituent, R1 is alkyl, aralkyl or aryl and R2 is an alkyl or aralkyl but Ar1 has at least one substituent of formula II, wherein R3 and R3 are each am alkyl which may have a substituent, aralkyl which may have a substituent, aryl which may have a substituent or H, R3 and R4 may be mutually the same or different, Ar2 is an aryl which may have a substituent and (n) is 0 or an integer of 1-2.
