PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use heat from a heat source effectively, permit the delicate control of amount of vapor by temperature control, permit the increase or the decrease of the number of humidifiers itself in spite of the size of a humidifying area, spray vapor without growing miscellaneous bacteria in a water circulation system and generate instantaneously sterilized vapor. SOLUTION: An evaporation type humidifier is constituted of a heater unit 10, formed of a water sending tube 12 and a resistance heating body 13 which are buried in a heat medium member 11 of a metal having a high heat conductivity, a water circulation unit 40, formed so as to permit water supply from two directions while interposing three-way valves 42a, 42b equipped with vapor discharging nozzles 41a, 41b, an overheating preventing device 20, preventing the excessive rise of the temperature of the resistance heating body 13, and a temperature controller 30, controlling the amount of vapor.
