METHOD FOR CONTROLLING COMPRESSOR OF REFRIGERATOR

PURPOSE: A control method of a refrigerator compressor is provided to control a compressor depending on temperature of a non-opened compartment when one of doors is opened during refrigeration of each compartment. CONSTITUTION: One of doors is opened during refrigeration of each compartment. Then, a predetermined reference time has passed sine the door was opened. A compressor is turned off if one of the compartments with the other non-opened door has a temperature not higher than a predetermined temperature. The compressor is controlled depending on the temperature of the non-opened compartment if the opened door is not closed during the reference time even though alarm sounds are generated responding to the opened door. Therefore, the compressor is prevented from damage, and the waste of power consumption due to excessive running of the compressor is inhibited.
