PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable various pests to be controlled regardless of palatability because when the intruding creeping pests touch an insecticidal component or only pass thereon, the pests are brought to death only by touching the insecticidal component even if the pests do not eat the insecticidal component. SOLUTION: This tool for controlling creeping pests has a material having <=1.0×10-6 mmHg vapor pressure under a condition of 20 deg.C, and a high fatal activity against the creeping pests, acting to manifest delayed effects, and arranged on a part or the whole surface of at least one inner wall within the range of >=0.5 cm width in the progressing direction of the creeping pests in a vessel having an entrance having the largeness capable of allowing the creeping pests to go in and out.
