PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time required for the construction of a partition wall by reducing machine screw fastening parts. SOLUTION: In this partition wall, cutouts 9 are vertically formed at the front and rear faces of both end parts of horizontal rails 3, and lateral sash bar fitting holes 8 with the upper parts thereof formed to detachably insert the end parts of the horizontal rails 3 and with the lower parts thereof formed in width fittable into the cutouts 9 of the horizontal rails 3 and engaged, are formed in the side face on the lateral sash bar fitting side of a stanchion 2. Both end parts of the 3 are engaged into the lateral sash bar fitting holes 8 of the stanchions 2 to fit the horizontal rails 3 to the stanchions 2.
