AUTOMATED TEST AGENT PROFILING SYSTEM

A profiling system for providing a profile of a plurality of test agents includes a profiling unit having a plurality of channel units, and a plurality of effectors for determining an effect of each of the plurality of effectors on each of the plurality of test agents. Each of the plurality of effectors is incorporated in at least one of the plurality of channel units. Materials such as test agents and effectors can be automatically loaded in the profiling unit by means of a programmable loading unit. An analyzing unit detects and analyzes data detected from the profiling unit to provide analyzed data representative of a profile of a test agent. The system further includes a database unit including the profile of each of a plurality of test agents. The profiling system allows for high throughput, rapid, and inexpensive screening and evaluation of a large number of test agents as potential commercial products.
