An apparatus and method for driving a capacitative transducer is described. A switching (Class D) power supply has a switching output stage (21) feeding through, and inductor (25) to the transducer (27). Instead of using voltage feedback, a sensor (23) measures the current through the inductor and feeds that back as negative feedback.
