PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug cap facilitating work for attaching and detaching a plug with a built-in pressure sensor, and an easy method for attaching and detaching the plug with a built-in pressure sensor. SOLUTION: This plug cap 1 is equipped with a tubular part 11 made of glass-containing PBT, a grommet 21 provided with a cable insertion groove 21b, and an ignition coil unit 23 provided with a high-voltage terminal 23a. The tubular part 11 is equipped with a first fit part 15 fittable to a fastening tool on one end thereof, equipped with a second fit part 17 made of metallic material and fittable to a hexagonal part 25a of a plug 25 with a built-in pressure sensor on the other end, and a groove-shaped clamp part 11a in an outer surface thereof. The hexagonal part 25a is fitted into the second fit part 17 to attach the tubular part 11 to the plug 25, a sensor-output cable 25e is held in the clamp part 11a, the fastening tool is fitted into the first fit part 15 to fasten it, thereby attaching the plug 25 to an internal combustion engine.
