PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a mill performance by making the temperature distribution uniform at a mill inlet by providing an air diffusing means at a tail part of a mixing foil. SOLUTION: A mixing foil 1 for mixing hot air (about 350 deg.C) and cold air (about 50 deg.C) is installed in an mill inlet duct 10 provided at a mill inlet part. A slit part 1a for blowing out cold air is provided to the mixing foil 1. The cold air from the slit part 1a is dispersed in the hot air. Further, directly thereafter, as an air diffusion means, cold-air diffusing rods 5 are respectively installed. The cold-air diffusing rod 5 is formed e.g. in a triangular form in its section, and one surface thereof is arranged so as to face to the slit part 1a. Further, a tight shut off damper 2 to be closed at the time of stopping the mill, an air foil 3 for measuring an air amount at the mill inlet, and a test seat 4 for measuring a temperature distribution and a current velocity are installed to the tail part of the mixing foil 1. Thereby, a mill inlet temperature distribution can be made uniform.
