PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with scaffolds and greatly enhance workability and especially prevent deformation or breakage of a joint part of a connecting recess and a connecting protrusion of the upper and lower external wall panels caused by a large load acting on the joint part, while using a number of external wall panels filled with a core material between front and rear metallic external shells, in the construction of the external wall of a high-rise building such as a large scale building. SOLUTION: A core material 3 is filled in between the front and rear metallic shells 1, 2. A plurality of sheets of external wall panels 6 in which a connecting recess 4 is formed in one of the upper or lower panels and a connecting protrusion 5 is formed in the other one are fitted to a unit frame 7 by connecting the recess 4 and the protrusion 5. A fitting recess 9 allowing only vertical sliding motion is formed in one of the upper and lower parts of the unit frame 7 and a fitting protrusion 10 is formed in the other side. Further, a hanging part 11 for a crane is formed in the unit frame 7 and a temporary fixing means 13 temporarily fixing a fitting position of the fitting recess 9 and the fitting protrusion 10 allowing the vertical sliding motion at an arbitrary position part is provided.
