PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of dust carried away by exhaust air for floating a belt by decreasing suspension and scattering of the dust from carried articles. SOLUTION: This air floating type belt conveyer is formed in such a manner that a belt 10 hung between a head pulley 8 and a tail pulley 9 is floated in a carrier side trough 2 and a return side trough 3 by the pressure of air supplied in the trough to run, and thereby, carried articles are transported with carrier side belt 10a. Air for floating the belt supplied in each trough is exhausted from an exhaust port 21 close to the head pulley and an exhaust port 31 in close to the tail pulley to the outside of troughs 2, 3. In this air floating type belt conveyer, a partition board 40 for partitioning an exhaust flow space in the carrier side trough 2 in a longitudinal direction of the trough 2 is mounted on a position closed to the tail pulley 9 within the carrier side trough 2.
