PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device for easily setting a historic site or ruins difficult to be specified on a current map as the destination of route retrieval, and for operating various kinds of route guidance using an old map. SOLUTION: In this navigation device, the longitude and latitude coordinates on a present map MPB of a present position PQ of a vehicle are measured by a GPS or the like. On the other hand, a destination PRA is designated on an old map MPA by a user. Next, the longitude and latitude coordinates on the present map MPB are calculated based on the designated position. Then, a guided route LB from the present position to the destination PRB is retrieved on the present map MPB. Thus, it is possible to easily set a historic site or ruins difficult to be specified on a current map as the destination of route retrieval. Also, it is possible to realize navigation based on the current map while displaying an old map. |
