PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow mandrel bar with which temperature distribution in the longitudinal direction is sufficiently uniformalized even when a measured result is inaccurate and the control accuracy is insufficient. SOLUTION: The interior is made hollow and a small quantity of liquid is hermetically sealed in the hollow part 1a. In this way, the temperature distribution in the longitudinal direction is sufficiently unifomalized, the variation of the outside diameter of the mandrel bar is suppressed and the variation in the thickness of a rolled stock is also reduced.
