PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the home position of an image sensor which moves and makes a read to a proper position. SOLUTION: A photocoupler 10a which is more tolerant of dirty environment than the image sensor 12a is fitted to the wall 20 of a device and a detection rod 14 is fitted to a carriage 12 which moves the image sensor 12a. Before the shipment, the difference the position where the image sensor 12a detects a white tape 21 for home position detection and the position where the photocoupler 10 detects the detection rod 14 is found as a correction value. When the home position is set, the photocoupler 10 detects the detection rod 14 to set the home position and when the image sensor 12a is moved to make a read, the movement quantity is corrected with the correction value. |
