PURPOSE: A pushbutton switch having a push down maintaining device is provided to maintain the push down state with a light pressing force during push down operation. CONSTITUTION: A pushbutton switch comprises a switch terminal, a body(10) having a switch housing, a switching device having a switch contact substrate linked to a switch spring inserted into the switching hollow formed in a body, a push down maintaining device connected to the switching device for maintaining the push down state with more light pressing force during push down operation, a cap(40) for maintaining the linkage state by covering the body. The pushbutton switch maintains the push down state with a light pressing force by push down maintaining device for providing the ability of preventing the elastic protrusion.
