PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing a positive plate of lead storage battery which does not induce an environmental problems and provide effect of increasing a life span of the battery. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing a positive plate of lead storage battery, comprises the steps of (i) mixing and kneading lead powders consisting of powdered lead and lead oxide with water and sulfuric acid to form an active material, (ii) applying the active material to collector, and then aging and drying the applied active material, (iii) converting the active material into lead dioxide by flowing an electric current. In the mixing and kneading step, the material comprising trivalent or pentavalent cation is added.
